Dennis Osadebey University is one of the newly established universities in Nigeria,having not spent up to a decade. Dennis Osadebey University was established by the Delta State Government in 2021.

Dennis Osadebey University was part of the existing Delta State University, forming part of Delta State University, and it is known as the Anwai Campus.

In 2021 a proposition was proposed by the state government of Delta State to create a new university with existing facilities in the Anwai campus that was part of Delta State University. This was merged with two other institutions, including Delta State Polytechnic Ozoro and College of Education Agbor, to create the new university.

The proposition that was led by the state governor, Ifeanyi Okowa, was passed in the state house of assembly in that same year, and the university received accreditation from the National Universities Commission (NUC).

Admission Requirements

● UTME candidates must possess five (5) credit passes in relevant subjects, including English Language and Mathematics, in WAEC, NECO, NABTEB, or GCE O’Level at not more than two sittings.

● Direct Entry candidates must possess a National Diploma (ND) or Higher National Diploma (HND) with a minimum of lower credit from a recognized institution and must purchase the Direct Entry JAMB form.

● IJMB/JUPEB candidates must pass at least two (2) subjects with a minimum of four (4) points obtained from both subjects.

● NCE candidates must possess a merit grade from a recognized institution.
