Nigeria Police 2026 Recruitment Screening Venues and Requirements

The Nigeria Police Force and the Police Service Commission have announced the start of the Physical and Credentials Screening Exercise for applicants in the 2025/2026 Police Constable Recruitment.
Candidates who successfully completed the online application are invited to attend the screening exercise scheduled to run from 9th March 2026 to 18th April, 2026. The exercise will take place daily from 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. at State Police Command Headquarters across Nigeria and the FCT Command.

All applicants must appear in person at their designated venue wearing a clean white T-shirt and white shorts, which is the official dress code for the screening exercise.

Documents Required for Police Screening

Candidates must come along to the screening with the required documents properly arranged in two white flat files. These documents will be thoroughly checked during the credentials/documents verification.

Required documents include:

  • Two recent passport-size photographs
  • Medical, physical and mental fitness certificate from a government recognized hospital.
  • Certificate of Origin signed by the Local Government Chairman or Secretary.
  • Original and photocopy of National Identification Number (NIN) slip.
  • Original and photocopies of O’Level results or academic credentials.
  • Birth Certificate or Declaration of Age.
  • Printed copy of the application form.
  • Completed Guarantor’s Form
    Invitation Slip.

Applicants should make sure that all documents are well arranged before arriving at the venue.

Important Screening Slips to Print

Before going to the screening exercise, candidates must print the required screening slips from the recruitment portal using their NIN number. These slips contain the applicants screening date, time, and venue.

The following slips must be printed and come along with:

  • Physical Screening Slip
  • Credentials Screening Slip
  • Invitation Slip

Applicants who were instructed before to update their credentials should do so immediately and reprint their application or confirmation slip.

The screening will take place at designated locations across the country. Below are the approved venues for each state:

  • Adamawa State: Karewa Police Children School, Police Barracks, Yola North.
  • Akwa Ibom State: State Command Headquarters, Uyo.
  • Anambra State: State Police Command Headquarters, Awka
    Bauchi State: Police Training School (PTS), Bauchi.
  • Bayelsa State: Police Command Headquarters, Yenagoa.
  • Benue State: Police Central Barracks Football Field, Makurdi.
  • Borno State: State Police Command Headquarters, Maiduguri.
  • Cross River State: Police Command Headquarters, Calabar.
  • Delta State: Cenotaph, Asaba.

Important Notice for Applicants

Candidates are advised to come to their screening venue, follow all instructions and guides from officials of the Nigeria Police Force, and ensure you bring all required documents.

Failure to present the necessary documents or attending the screening at the different venue not the one assigned to your slip will results to disqualification from the recruitment process.
