Apply for Ondo State Scholarship Board 2026 Scholarship Awards
Ondo State Scholarship Board is inviting applications from the Ondo State indigenes students for the 2025/2026 Bursary, Scholarship and Financial Assistance from the 2025/2026 academic session.
Submission of applications commenced from 17th February to 17th March, 2026 through the Ondo State Scholarship Board website at https://osdsb.org.ng.
Available Categories:
1. Bursary Award: This category is open to suitably qualified and eligible students studying in Universities, Polytechnics, Colleges of education, School of Nursing & School of Health Institutions.
2. Scholarship (Merit-Based) Award: Candidates under this category must meet the following academic requirements to be eligible:
- Applicants must be students of Ondo State origin in second (2nd) year and above in their courses of study to be eligible for Undergraduate Scholarship Award.
- Universities (5.0 scale): Minimum CGPA 4.0.
- Universities (4.0 scale): Minimum CGPA 3.0
- Polytechnics: Minimum CGPA 3.0
(Strictly for 200 level and above). - Medical Students of Ondo State origin in Medical Schools and all Colleges of education are eligible.
- Physically Challenged Students of Ondo State origin in all Tertiary Institutions across the Country
- Ondo State students in Nigerian Law Schools and the Nigerian Law school. Application is directly through the council of Legal Education.
NOTE:
- Part-time & sandwich students are not eligible for any category of scholarship mentioned above.
- Double application leads to disqualification.

Interested students are therefore advised to read all instructions carefully to know the appropriate application form to fill.
General Rules
Please read the following guidelines carefully. They determine applicants eligibility and assist them access to the scholarship and bursary benefits.
To qualify for scholarship award, a candidate must have completed at least an academic session in the institution. This is because the performance of the prospective awardees in the first year examination determines his/her eligibility.
The scholarship award is only renewable based on satisfactory academic performance on the part of the students.
A part time, pre-degree or certificate students not qualified for either scholarship or bursary awards.
Any candidates found with found with the act of dishonesty, fraud, malpractices and/or any other form of misconduct will attract termination of the award.
Application Procedure
The procedure and method of application for scholarship/bursary are as follows, in total compliance with government policies of transparency, accountability, and due process.
Scholarship and Bursary awards are only available to registered full-time students in recognized Federal, State, and Private tertiary institutions in Nigeria.
Physically challenged students in tertiary institutions (with valid evidence of their disability) are eligible for financial assistance.
Bursary award is open to all bonafide Ondo State students right from their first year in their respective higher institutions.
Regular Scholarships are purely for students in second year and above. Minimum CGPA of 3.0 for Universities on a 4.0 scale, 4.0 for those on a 5.0 scale, and a minimum CGPA of 3.0 for students in Polytechnics.
The Screening Process
To prevent fraud or impersonation, each applicant is made to go through certain screening processes. Below are the certified documents required during the verification exercise by the board.
- Letter of identification from the Head of Department of the candidate’s institution.
- Verification and monitoring exercises conducted by the board to confirm studentship.
- Valid school identification card issued by the institution.
