The Federal Government of Nigeria has launched an application portal for the Renewed Hope Women Agro-Value Expansion Programme (RH-WAVE 774), a large-scale initiative designed to economically empower 10 million Nigerian women through agriculture and agribusiness.
The programme provides up to ₦1 million in support per beneficiary and it will spread across all 774 Local Government Areas (LGAs) in the country for fairness and equity.
RH-WAVE 774 focuses on empowering women in agribusiness moving them from subsistence farming into value-chain entrepreneurs and exporters.
What is RH-WAVE 774?
RH-WAVE 774 an agricultural empowerment programfor women launched by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu last year in the month of June, 2025 under the Renewed Hope Agenda. The program is built to use agriculture to create income, food security, and long-term wealth for Nigerian women.
This program is different from the previous interventions which focused on farm inputs, RH-WAVE targets the entire agricultural value chain from production to processing, packaging, marketing, and export. This will make beneficiaries to earn more and grow their businesses to bloom.
The programme is implemented by the Federal Ministry of Women Affairs, with technical and strategic support from international partners such as the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC).
Who can Apply?
RH-WAVE 774 is open to women from all backgrounds, both rural and urban. You can apply if you are among the following:
- A crop farmer or livestock farmer
- A fish farmer
- A trader or market woman
- An agro-processor (cassava, rice, maize palm oil, grains, etc.).
- A graduate interested in agribusiness.
- A rural entrepreneur or cooperative member.
- A single mother or woman-led household.
- A woman with a viable agribusiness idea.
You do not need to own a large farm or business to qualify. The programme is designed for women at different stages, from beginners to growing enterprises. Those rearing chickens, birds, goats, rabbits, etc are advised to apply.
