NMCN Releases Midwifery Professional Exams March 2026 Results

The Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria (NMCN) is wishes to announce the released of the Professional Examination in Midwifery March, 2026 results to all candidates, institutions, and the general public.

Summary of the results showed that Nine thousand nine hundred and eighty four (9,984) candidates were successful representing 86% overall average pass. The break down of the results is as follows:

Post Basic Midwifery: 3,235 – 96% pass

Basic Midwifery: 5,928 candidates were successful, representing 83% pass.

Community Midwifery: Eight hundred and twenty one (821) candidates were successful, which makes 73% pass.

Heads of the nursing training institutions are hereby directed to check the results of their institutions(s) online through the portal app.nmcn.gov.ng as from Tuesday 17th March, 2026.

Successful candidates are to visit the Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria Portal (myportal.nmcn.gov.ng) to apply for registration and licensing online. Modalities of viewing the result as well as registration and licensing would be communicated on or before Tuesday 17th March, 2026.

Please note that all online registration formalities, including the payment of the registration fee, must be completed within 90 days of the results being released. There is a penalty fee of sixteen thousand, two hundred and fifty Naira (₦16,250.00) for late registration per applicant after ninety (90) days. Also, in default of the first licensing, a penalty fee of six thousand five hundred and sixty-two Naira (₦6,562.

The next Professional Examination in Midwifery is to be held from Tuesday 8th-Friday 11th September, 2026.

Heads of nursing training institutions are hereby requested to send in statistics using Examination Application Checklist (EAC) for September 2026 Professional Examination in Midwifery to exams@nmcn.gov.ng on or before 30th April, 2026. EAC forwarded after this date will be outrightly rejected.

Receipt of result should be duly acknowledged and the Registrar/CEO contacted immediately, for any error to be rectified. The Council will not entertain any complaint after 30 days of the release of a result.
