Invictus Africa has announced a nationwide recruitment exercise for Data Enumerators to support a short term but high impact national survey across all 36 states of Nigeria and the Federal Capital Territory FCT. About the Invictus Africa Data Enumeration Project

The Invictus Africa data collection project will focus on understanding voter attitudes, past voting behaviour, and future voting intentions across Nigeria. Special attention is placed on public perceptions of women, youth, and persons with disabilities as political candidates and leaders.

The goal of the exercise is to discover reliable, ethical, and high quality data that can be used for advocacy, policy formulation, and programs that promote inclusive political participation. Scope and Duration of the Engagement

The data enumeration exercise will run for approximately two weeks. This period includes enumerator training, fieldwork across selected Local Government Areas, and a debrief session at the end of the assignment.

Enumerators will be assigned to two Local Government Areas within a senatorial district in their state. The work is entirely field based and requires daily movement within communities.

Job Role and Responsibilities of a Data Enumerator

Successful candidates will be engaged as Data Enumerators and will be responsible for collecting survey data from eligible respondents in assigned communities. Enumerators are expected to work independently while strictly following all project guidelines and ethical standards.

Professional conduct, respect for respondents, and accuracy in data collection are essential throughout the assignment.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

Data Enumerators selected for this project will be expected to carry out the following tasks:

• Administer structured questionnaires using the KoboCollect data collection platform.
• Ensure all responses are accurate, complete, and internally consistent before submission.
• Translate and interpret survey questions clearly into relevant local dialects when required.
• Capture GPS coordinates and photographs of field activities as part of documentation.
• Submit daily field reports
• Obtain free and informed consent from all respondents before administering questionnaires.
• Maintain strict confidentiality and comply with Invictus Africa’s data protection and do no harm principles.

These responsibilities are mandatory and form the basis for performance assessment and payment.

Expected Targets and Deliverables

To successfully complete the assignment, each Data Enumerator must meet the following targets:

A total of 100 completed questionnaires, averaging 10 questionnaires per day.
Submission of 10 daily field reports over the data collection period.

Meeting these targets is compulsory. Failure to achieve the required deliverables may affect project completion status and payment eligibility.

Qualifications and Requirements

Applicants interested in the Invictus Africa Data Enumerator recruitment must meet the following criteria:

• A minimum of a Diploma or higher qualification in any discipline.
• At least two years of proven experience in field based data collection or research work.
• Demonstrated ability to use digital data collection tools, especially KoboCollect.
• Access to a functional smartphone or tablet that supports KoboCollect.
• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
• Good familiarity with at least one senatorial district within the applicant’s state.
• Fluency in English and one or more predominant local languages spoken in the district.
• Ability to meet daily targets and work effectively under tight timelines.

Payment Structure and Benefits

Invictus Africa will pay Data Enumerators a daily rate of ₦10,000 for 10 working days, bringing the total earnings to ₦100,000.

This payment covers fieldwork activities and local transportation within the assigned senatorial district.

• Completion of all assigned data collection targets.
• Successful data quality checks and verification by the Monitoring,
• Evaluation, and Learning Lead.
• Full compliance with Invictus Africa’s financial and operational controls.

It is important to note that no advance payment will be made before or during the assignment.
