The Jigawa State Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB) wishes to inform all teachers that the Teachers’ Needs Assessment Examination (TTNA) has been officially slated to hold on Saturday, 4th April 2026 at the examination centres across the state.

This important notice is to all the eligible teachers who successfully fill and hand in their applications within the period. The board said teachers who are qualified and applied should sit for exams as part of the assessment and development exercise currently ongoing in Jigawa State. The examination is part of the board’s wider work to assess and identify teachers’ competencies and professional development requirements, as well as enhance education quality in public schools across the state.

TTNA Examination Date and Venue

The Teachers’ Needs Assessment Examination Schedule is like this announcement by the Jigawa State Universal Basic Education Board.

Date: Saturday, 4th April 2026

Venue: Various examination centres across Jigawa State.

All teachers are advised to note the date carefully, and make adequate preparations long before the examination day.

The board emphasized that candidates should only appear at the examination centre assigned to them, as indicated on their examination slip.

Eligibility for the Jigawa SUBEB Teachers Examination

The board was clear that all the teachers that successfully filled in and submitted their application form can sit for the examination.

That means that only applicants whose registration process was duly finalized and sent through the official SUBEB portal will be allowed to participate in the assessment exercise.

Teachers who did not complete the application process might be disallowed from sitting for the examination.

Examination Slip Printing Begins Today

All the teachers are mandated to print out their Examination Slip, which shall contain important details required for the examination.

Clearly, the slip will indicate;

  • Designated Examination Venue
  • Scheduled time for the examinations.

Printing of the examination slip will start today at 5:00 p.m.

Teachers are strongly advised to log into their dashboard promptly to print their slips as soon as the portal is available.

It is important to ensure that the printing of the slip is done early enough to avoid last minute technical hitches or delays due to a rush on the portal.

The examination slip is an document for entry into the examination centre and candidates may be refused access if they do not present it.

Important Notice for Previous Candidates

The Jigawa State SUBEB further made it clear that, the examination does not apply to those who have taken it before.

However, there is an exception which is the teachers from Gumel and Dutse (Centre One) are specifically required to take the examination again.

Affected candidates from these centres should note the instruction and print the updated examination slips before the scheduled date.

Examination Centres by Zone

To ease candidates across the state, the board has designated examination centres based on zones.

The following are the official TTNA examination centres by zone.

Dutse Zone – Federal University Dutse

Hadejia Zone – Bilyaminu Usman Polytechnic.

Gumel Zone – Jigawa State College of Education, Gumel.

Kazaure Zone – Hussaini Adamu Polytechnic.

Babura & Garki Zone – Federal University of Science and Technology, Babura.

Kafin Hausa Zone – Sule Lamido University, Kafin Hausa

Teachers are advised to confirm their exact centre with the examination slip and report only to the assigned centre.

Final Instruction to All Teachers

All teachers are admonished to treat this notice with utmost importance and ensure maximum compliance.

Candidates should ensure that they print their examination slips on time and report to their allotted centres at the given time.

It is equally important to get to the venue early on the examination date so as to undertake any verification procedures before the test begins.

The Teachers’ Needs Assessment Examination still counts as a vital exercise for Jigawa State to ensure that it maintains and strengthens its teaching workforce with the right policies and practices.

All eligible teachers are therefore encouraged to prepare them adequately, and all instructions issued by the Jigawa State Universal Basic Education Board are strictly followed.
