Flourish Africa is meant to empower you with the knowledge, funding and support necessary to nurture whatever you have started. Scaling is not easy for many women in business due to limited access to capital, advice and networks. The initiative is tailored to provide a combination of financial support and experiential learning coupled with mentorship.

Transform Your Business in Four Months
This is a 4 month, step-by-step journey to build, grow and scale your business with clarity, confidence and know how. The programme is both theoretical and practical, also a structured four month journey to help you build, grow and scale your business with clarity and confidence.
Participants go through sessions covering important areas like financial planning, branding, customer acquisition and leadership. By the time the programme ends, there is confidence and enhanced knowledge about doing business for its participants.

At the end of the programme, participants will present their businesses through a pitch process and the top one hundred outstanding participants will be selected to receive funding. This stage will be competitive, but it will also pitch you, so you get to explain your value.
Who is Eligible to Apply
Applicants must meet the following criteria to be eligible for the programme:
- The applicants must be female entrepreneurs Age between the ages of 18 and 50.
- The applicants business should have been engaged in operation for a minimum period of 12 months.
- And the applicant’s business must be situated in Abuja, Lagos or Port Harcourt.
- Applicants that have previously Participated or benefited from Flourish Africa training or grants are NOT eligible to apply.
These requirements make sure that participants already have a running business and are ready to upscale. The focus is on supporting women who have taken the first step but need guidance and resources to move forward.

The initiative is founded by Folorunso Alakija, an entrepreneur and philanthropist famed for her commitment to empower women. Through Flourish Africa, she supports female entrepreneurs by creating opportunities to enable them become financially independent and support the growth of their businesses.

The closing date for the submission of applications is 12th April, 2026.
