The Ekiti State College of Technology, Ijero-Ekiti (formerly College of Health Sciences and Technology) was transformed into a Polytechnic on 23rd December, 2025 by the state governor Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji.

EKSCOTECH Polytechnic, now functioning with the expanded mandate, is to train middle and high level technical manpower in the different sectors. The programs currently offered by the College include Engineering, Applied Sciences, Business and Management Studies in addition to the already existing health programmes. In that regard, the institution is inviting applications for both academic and medical vacancies in various positions for suitably qualified candidates, which means that qualified professionals can join the institution’s workforce.

The recruitment positions are found in many departments in various schools within the polytechnic. The recruitment positions in various departments within the polytechnic are open to candidates who are passionate about teaching, conducting research and shaping future generations of skilled professionals.

Available Job Vacancies

There are availably job vacancies in the following departments:

• Mass Communication
• Library and information science
• Accounting
• Business Administration

They are required to apply for vacancies on offer for Principal Lecturer, Senior Lecturer and Lecturer I. These positions require individuals with strong academic qualifications and the ability to contribute both to classroom teaching and academic research.

The polytechnic is also strengthening its engineering faculty with job vacancies in the following positions:

• Electrical and Electronics Engineering.
• Computer Engineering

The successful applicants will help in both the practical delivery and the classroom theory ensuring that the students get industry-relevant knowledge and experience.

Under the School of Applied Sciences, there is a single position whose recruitment is still ongoing:

The department is instrumental in building scientific skills, mainly for students aiming at careers majorly in research, healthcare and laboratory based industries.

EKSCOTECH Polytechnic is conducting a recruitment for the position of Medical Officer for its College Health Centre. The position is very critical in maintaining secure and healthful campus environment. The successful candidate shall offer medical care treatment and support to students and staff.

Qualifications and Requirements 

Below is the job requirement for each job title.

1) Principal Lecturer:

• Applicants should have a Ph.D. in the position applied for and have a minimum of 12 years of teaching/research experience or hold a Master’s degree certificate with 15 years of related experience.
• Provide an evidence of scholarly publications and must possess membership with professional bodies.

2) Senior Lecturer:

• The candidate should have a Master’s degree in a relevant field and published papers in highly-academic journals.

3) Lecturer:

• The must have a Master’s degree and a good first degree, not below Second Class Lower Division.

4) Medical Officer:

• Candidates must be medical officers, holding an MBBS degree, registered with the Medical and Dental Council of Nigeria (MDCN) and must also have a valid NYSC discharge certificate.

These requirements are meant to make sure that competence and experience professionals recruited into the institution.
